[7/30/2010 - Y-D: 7, Chatham: 5 - Stephanie Lippmann] “Red” Wilson Field and the Y-D Red Sox organization welcomed a crowd of approximately 1267 for the Y-D vs. Chatham match up. It was yet another high scoring game, both teams stealing the lead back and forth, keeping things interesting. The Red Sox were able to pull through with another win in the end with the help of a call for darkness. (more)
[7/29/2010 - Y-D: 6, Wareham: 5 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox host the Wareham Gatemen for the 2nd time this season on Thursday (7/29/10). It was a high scoring game with a 6-5 final score, and an amazing comeback for the Red Sox. (more)
[7/26/2010 - (game 1) Y-D: 0, Harwich: 2; (game 2) Y-D: 10, Harwich: 2 - Stephanie Lippmann] After a rain out in Harwich, the Mariners gave up their home game to play a 7-inning double header at “Red” Wilson Field as the home team against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox for the first game as their make up. Game two was played as previously scheduled. A total of roughly 1400 fans showed up to watch both games. Each team went home with another win, leaving all fans satisfied. (more)
[7/20/2010 - Y-D: 3, Chatham: 1 - Stephanie Lippmann]The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox organizations was happy to welcome a crowd of nearly 1800 baseball fans on this Tuesday evening. “Red” Wilson Field hosted the largest crowd of the season and the crowd was able to build up a record breaking 50-50 pot for they year at $539. It was a slow start for the Red Sox vs. Anglers match up with scoreless play until the 6th inning, but the players gave their fans a nail-biting game in the end. (more)
[7/17/2010 - Y-D: 4, Chatham: 2 - Stephanie Lippmann] It was a close game for The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox this past Saturday evening at “Red” Wilson Field. The Red Sox hosted the Chatham Anglers for the first time and a crowd of over 11 hundred fans. (more)
[7/16/2010 - YD: 2, Brewster: 9 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hosted the Brewster Whitecaps this evening at their home of “Red” Wilson Field for one of the biggest games of the season. These two teams are battling for the number one spot in the league, Y-D is two games behind the Whitecaps. Tonight’s game welcomed over 1200 fans, including family and friends of the players, for another Red Shirt Friday. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox organization and fans wore red shirts in honor of the soldiers fighting over seas. (more)
[7/13/2010 - YD: 3, Orleans: 2 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox dominate the first half of their game against the Orleans Firebirds. The Sox hosted home game 12 this past Tuesday evening, as always at 5pm. After a tough loss to the Firebirds on July 6th, Y-D came ready to make a comeback and were able to do so. (more)
[7/06/2010 - YD: 3, Orleans: 5 - Stephanie Lippmann] Home game 10 for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox took place on this Tuesday evening at 5pm. Fans came rolling in again with a crowd of close to 1300. The Sox went up against the Orleans Firebirds once again for the 3rd time in a week. It was a low scoring game, but a close one. The Red Sox were unable to pull off another win, loosing by the skin of their teeth. (more)
[7/04/2010 - YD: 7, Hyannis: 8 - Stephanie Lippmann] Patriotism filled “Red” Wilson field this Fourth of July when the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox and the Hyannis Harbor Hawks played the ninth home game of the 2010 season for the Sox. Close to 1800 fans joined both teams including several family members and friends of our players for the longest game of the season so far. (more)
[7/02/2010 - YD: 3, Orleans: 2 - Stephanie Lippmann] For home game 8 of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, the team welcomed the Orleans Firebirds after winning with a no-hitter two nights earlier in Orleans. “Red” Wilson field hosted the biggest crowd of the season with over 1600 fans who brought in over $800 in the 50/50 raffle. Tonight’s game held some stiff competition and a close outcome, but the Sox were able to pull out their eighth win. (more)
[6/29/2010 - YD: 7, Brewster: 1 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hosted home game 7 this Tuesday (6-29-10) against the Brewster Whitecaps. Y-D played a strong and impressive game through all 9 innings. They dominated “Red” Wilson Field with both strong offense and defense. (more)
[6/27/2010 (game 1) Y-D: 11, Falmouth: 4; (game 2) Y-D: 4, Falmouth: 7 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Falmouth Commodores joined the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox on this Sunday for the one and only scheduled double header at Red Wilson field of the season. Games last for only 7 innings. The teams walked away each with a win added to their stats. These games brought a great crowd of over 600 fans for both games and some strong Cape league spirit. (more)
[6/23/2010 - YD: 5, Harwich: 4 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Harwich Mariners were the victim of the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox this Wednesday night (6-23-10). The Mariners gave the Sox some stiff competition through all 9 innings, but Y-D was able to pull through for the win in the end. (more)
[6/22/2010 - YD: 5, Wareham: 3 - Stephanie Lippmann] Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox squared off against the Wareham Gatemen for home game 4 on Tuesday (6-22-10). Red Wilson field welcomed over 1100 fans. Both teams brought intensity to the field through the entire game with the leader switching back and forth several times. (more)
[6/20/2010 - YD: 4, Hyannis: 1 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Y-D Red Sox hosted the Hyannis Harbor Hawks this past Sunday, June 20th at “Red” Wilson Field. The game was hot and cold through all 9 innings for both teams. (more)
[6/17/2010 - YD: 2, Brewster: 3 - Stephanie Lippmann] It was a competitive match up for Y-D’s second home game this past Thursday evening, June 17th, 2010. The Red Sox hosted the Brewster Whitecaps at the Merrill “Red” Wilson Field. The first half of the game flew by with some great plays and quick outs from both teams while the second half was action-packed. (more)
[6/15/2010 - YD: 4, Bourne: 3 - Stephanie Lippmann] The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox won their home opener this past Tuesday (6/15/10) with a 4-3 score against the Bourne Braves. (more)
